“Craftsmanship of the future” – Loewe Foundation Craft Prize

Tiempo y materia” was created as a cultural event to bring contemporary crafts to the general public. A space for reflection in which to see how craftsmanship has a valid path of development alongside design and, above all, the permanence of materials, techniques and production processes.

In the context of this exhibition, the goldsmith Edu Tarín and the textile artist Luz Moreno, finalists of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize, will talk with the journalist Anatxu Zabalbeascoa about the updating of ancestral traditions and the invention of materials that bring their disciplines into the 21st century.

València Design Fest together with Estudio Savage, curators of the exhibition, are proud to collaborate with the Loewe Foundation to promote the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2025, an annual international award celebrating excellence in craftsmanship, the next exhibition of which will be held at the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid next spring.

This collaboration with the Loewe Foundation aims to raise the profile of Spanish artisans by encouraging talented creators in our country to apply for the prize.

The registration period for the 8th edition of the award will remain open until 30 October 2024. If you are interested, you can consult the terms and conditions of the award at www.loewecraftprize.com
